Our bodies have two states that they typically function in


Our sympathetic nervous system is our fight or flight system which responds to stress and other stimuli


Our parasympathetic nervous system which is our rest and digest system which it stimulates our digestive functions


We spend most of our time exercising, working, communicating with people in this sympathetic nervous system however in order to engage our parasympathetic nervous system and have effective digestion we need to slow down, switch off distractions, remove stimuli and focus on our food.
