MISCONCEPTIONS IN THE GYM

Whether you want to tone up, slim down, or boost your mood, you've likely taken a stab at tweaking your fitness routine.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of fitness advice out there that won't help you meet your goals and could actually do more harm than good

Myth #1: To stay in shape, you only need to work out once or twice a week

Truth - Doing something once or twice week won't cut it, technically doing some form of physical activity everyday is essential

Myth #2: The best time to work out is first thing in the morning

Truth - The best time to workout is when it suits your daily and weekly schedule

Myth #3: Exercise is the best way to lose weight

Truth: If you're looking to lose body fat, you shouldn't assume that you can simply 'work off' whatever you eat. It starts with a positive change within your lifestyle, including your nutrition, physical activity levels, sleep and stress management

Don't believe everything you hear, see and read. Look for advice from a reputable source before creating these misconceptions in your mind.
