Multitasking in the gym is very common in this day and age. We all have busy lives and sometimes we are having to do multiple things at once to ensure everything is getting done.
I’ve seen it all in my time as a coach, but honestly when it comes to certain exercises, multitasking in the gym can prove to be quite smart.
From reading a book on a stationary bike, to making phone calls while walking on the treadmill (or performing body weight squats), to replying back to emails whilst on the cross trainer. It doesn’t sound right, and believe me when I say that I am against having distractions around you while training. But for some people its the only time they have to get these little things done.
Be smart about when to multitask in the gym and ensure that you never let yourself get too overly distracted from training.
