Keeping strong, fit and healthy should be a priority for everyone. For those living with a disability, maintaining an active lifestyle can be a little more difficult, but just as important, if not more.
There are many options when it comes to training with a disability, and finding a personal trainer with a good understanding of anatomy, physiology and exercise science, as well as good communication skills is the key to a positive experience. They can provide a tailored program with exercises to suit each individual based on their needs and goals.
Like I always say to my clients, regardless of their abilities, training on a consistent basis is more than just physical exercise. It can also improve your mindset, your self esteem and give you confidence in your abilities, both inside and outside of the gym.
