In this day and age so many people associate physical activity with the gym. With the current pandemic and gyms across the country being forced to close down, we are left with finding ways to remain active at home.
Physical activity doesn't need to be done inside a gym. The best piece of advice I can give everyone is this - “The world is your gym”. We tend to forget that a lot of the exercise and physical activity we performed growing up was through sport.
Sport is known to be the best way to get some form of exercise in whilst having fun and enjoying the physical activity.
Don't feel like doing a home workout today? No worries. Grab your family, get into the backyard and pick a sport to play.
Getting bored of going for a walk? Grab a ball, head down to the park and kick it around.
Tired of running on the treadmill? Find a nice area where you can perform some sprints in the park and change up your daily cardio routine.
Getting outside is just as beneficial as being inside a gym. Remember, we need to adapt to the situation at hand. The sooner you adapt, the sooner you can go back to looking after yourself.
