THE IMPORTANCE OF SLEEP

BETTER GAINS COMES FROM BETTER SLEEP

When you sleep, your body focuses on recovery. Your stress levels are low, you're recuperating for the upcoming day and you're ensuring that your hormones are rebalancing.

For any men reading, when you improve your sleep your testosterone is being reproduced at its most compared to any other part of your day. The more you sleep, the better your recovery and the higher your testosterone levels.

- A lack of sleep will decrease the body's ability to recover. Your training performance will decrease. Your muscle mass will decrease. Your likelihood of injury will increase.

- A lack of sleep will promote more loss of lean mass compared to fat mass. You want to keep/build muscle and burn fat. .

- A lack of sleep has a negative effect on your food cravings. The less sleep you get, the more you're going to crave. If you're in a calorie deficit, you'll struggle to stay in that calorie deficit and potentially put on fat. .

- A lack of sleep will mean that your body's ability to respond to Insulin is also worsened. Your body's ability to manage carbohydrates, for example, will become worse and you'll become fat. .

Want to improve your sleep?
