This image shows how BLUE LIGHT affects the brain. If you're someone who struggles with 'switching off' and therefore find it hard to be able to fall into a deep sleep, chances are what you're doing 1-2 hours prior to sleep is having a negative affect on your ability to fall into a deep sleep.
Blue light stops your brain's ability to produce melatonin. Melatonin is a hormone that is made by the pineal gland in the brain. It is linked with how our body gets ready for sleep. If you stop the production of this hormone, you will definitely find it hard to sleep.
Our biggest recommendation is to turn off as much blue light as possible anywhere between 30mins - 1 hour prior to sleep and replace it with candles or some form of YELLOW LIGHT.
